I’d like to take a moment to congratulate the Camera Operators who won awards at last night’s BSC Awards night. Ossie McLean ACO for his outstanding work on Saltburn, and in the Drama category, both James Layton ACO and Justin Hawkins for their brilliant work on Silo.
The standard of entries, in both categories was exceptional. The Awards committee had a job on their hands in assembling the list, and I’d like to thank them, all those that entered, and those that voted.
Every entrant has shown both a skill and understanding of camera operating that helps turn words to images. Thank you again. Well done to all the nominees and congratulations to our winners, you’re a credit to the ACO.
Also, a massive congratulations to Angus Hudson BSC, who is a Friend of the ACO. Angus was given the John Alcott Memorial Award last night, for his work within the BSC, and for his mentorship to young Cinematographers. He’s been a great friend and champion of the ACO, and no one is more deserving of this prestigious award.
Kind wishes
ACO President, Matt Poynter ACO SOC
